What it is

A vault for who you are — that only you can open.

Your identity, your context, and your credentials live encrypted on your own device. MetaMe never sees them. It’s the opposite of every account you’ve ever made: nothing to sign up for, nothing uploaded, no one to trust but yourself.

Why it matters

Ownership, not access.

🔐

You hold the keys

Everything is generated and stored on your device, encrypted by your passphrase. Nothing is uploaded, and no one else — not even us — can open it.

🗣

Stop re-explaining yourself

Capture who you are, how you work, and what you’re building once — instead of retyping it into every app and assistant.

📦

Share without oversharing

Build a signed, expiring bundle of exactly what you choose. Prove what you need; reveal nothing more.

🎭

Work and personal, truly separate

Keep multiple profiles, and seal one under its own passphrase — so even your master password can’t open it.

👁

Nothing hidden

A clear record of what you’ve allowed, shared, and shown — with the power to revoke. No silent background activity.

🚫

You’re not the product

No ads, no tracking, no data brokerage. MetaMe’s whole design is that your data never leaves you.

The story

Built by someone who takes things apart.

Terry Green
Terry Green
Cloudland, Georgia

Terry had a vision: put digital identity back into the owner’s control. Not managed, not brokered, not rented — owned.

He’s always been a builder — the kind who tears something down just to make it better, even when it already works. Engines, objects, software, programs, anything he could get his hands on and take apart. If it could be opened up, he opened it, learned it, and rebuilt it into the version that worked right.

He brought that same instinct to identity itself. The systems we’re handed are broken by design — so he took them apart, and built MetaMe to put ownership back where it belongs.

⚠️ Back up your passphrase — first

Your identity is encrypted on your device with no reset. On first run, set up recovery (Keep it safe → Set up backup) and store the shares somewhere safe. Lose the passphrase without a backup and it’s gone for good.

Installing: because this early build isn’t code-signed yet, Windows may say “Windows protected your PC / unknown publisher.” That’s expected — click More info → Run anyway.
